Wouldja believe this is only the second near-mint original of this classic that I've had in the store since 2002!? Believe it! Because this single was pressed on styrene instead of vinyl, its audio is typically found in only the two main flavors of styrene records: Pristine mint, and Poor. That's because a new styrene 45 is better than a vinyl one at serving up sparkling, noise-free audio. However, styrene is less durable than vinyl, and if a styrene 45 is played even once or twice with a stylus needle that's of poor quality, its audio will forever be ruined. If you play a styrene 45 only with clean, decent-quality needles, its pristine audio will last forever. Vinyl, on the other hand, is more forgiving of poor turntables and their needles. So unless a vinyl copy has scratches that affect the audio grooves, it's likely to play EX or near mint even after lots of teenager abuse.\r\n

You will find styrene 45s in grades between Mint and Poor, but those in-between grades are less common than with vinyl.\r\n
