Ain't That Terrible/ A Change Is Gonna Come

This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. Hearing this for the first time was another "Wow!" moment for me... I had to rush and make an mp3 snippet of the A side so you could hear what got me so excited. I hope you like it as much as I do! The flip is an excellent cover of the iconic Sam Cooke tune. Two more great recordings from producer/arranger extraordinaire Jerry Ragavoy, who led so much great soul talent to the studio in the 1960s and got invariably great music out of them. I don't know anything about Redmond except what the discographies reveal: 3 singles on Loma (a subsidiary of Warner Bros.) and perhaps one or two other late-1960s 45s. From what I gather, Northern Soul fans consider this the Roy Redmond single to own. I haven't heard the others, but you may have noticed I'm breaking my rule again and giving this great tune a 2-star recommendation (our highest) after having heard it only 2-3 times. I'll be interested to see if there are any other singles by this artist in the Neal collection, as I make my way slowly through it. It was hard to set a price on this one, because I couldn't find any comparable copies that have been sold or offered for sale in the last few years from various sites. Most people have at best EX copies to offer. Here, you've got a basically brand new copy with a slight storage warp, featuring flawless audio, which in my mind makes it highly unique: Reference audio makes the copy extra special. Note: This beautiful copy has flawless labels, and the audio is also pristine Mint. The vinyl (styrene) looks almost untouched but has a mild storage warp that has no effect on playback or audio, so the Vinyl grade is Near Mint ("sw" for "slight warp").
