This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection. Here's a case where it's important to give the track a chance to stretch out and show all of its faces before making a snap judgment about a song. This terrific number has extended instrumental passages in different rhythms and arrangements that keep the dance vibe especially alive and consistently interesting. I now wholeheartedly recommend this single to any fans of Funky-style Soul (some fans would label this "Latin" Soul), and specifically to fans of "Funky Nassau," the 1971 classic which mines a similar groove. Note: This beautiful, white-label promo 45 exhibits faint storage wear on the labels and vinyl, which grade very close to Mint. (See scan.) After a good cleaning, the audio, I'm pleased to say, is pristine Mint — in fact, it sounds even better than the new, unplayed retail copies I used to sell (and from which I had recorded Part I back in 2004).
