Originally released on 78 rpm with the same catalog number. This "Classics Revisited" Atlantic reissue was the first time this classic recording was released on 45 rpm. Wynonie Harris, who was a huge R&B star at the time, released a cover version a month or so after McGhee's. Harris' version also went Top 10 on the "race" chart, but it still wasn't as big a hit as the original, which was also a Top 40 pop hit! This is a new promo copy from the Louise Neal collection, in its original Atlantic Records factory sleeve.
