From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This record is a perfect example of your talented doo-wop group figuring out how to sing soul group harmony. That special blend of styles is unique to the early 1960's and, to my ear at least, is one of the most satisfying sounds. The flip side of this rare single, which is credited to "The Tams with Little Floyd", is pretty much straight-on doo-wop. But the A side is much closer to the classic Tams soul sound we all know and love, yet with clear overtones of the group's doo-wop legacy. This track was also released on Arlen and bombed... I believe this was a second release with a different flip on a different label. Not sure the story behind that.
