This early Ann Peebles single (her second charter, but prior to having a hit) is tremendous! Both sides are among her best, with an A side that sneaks up on you with its steady, persistent beat and vocals, and a B side that ratchets the beat and arrangement up to an almost-Motown pace. A definite keeper!
