Most people associate this song with either Roy Brown (who wrote it) or Elvis Presley (who brought it to white people), but this is the original hit version of the song. Brown's own version peaked at #11 on the RnB chart a month after Wynonie's version topped the chart. This is one of the key recordings in the history of rock'n'roll.
