These original mono Motown releases really do sound better on 45 rpm vinyl than on any other format. The A side audio on this copy has a bit of noise in the lead-in grooves, and the label has a drillhole and a small date on the A side. This is a first pressing of this classic--which Dave Marsh pegs at #50 in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever--on the script-lettering Gordy label.
