From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. It's surprising now to remember that this was Springsteen's first foray into the top 10... 5 years after 'Born To Run' became his first top 40 single. This single was also his first with a picture sleeve. The very short flip is one of many Springsteen non-LP-cut B sides... it has the same groove as "Crush on You" from his magnum-opus double album,
The River, which is also the source of "Hungry Heart." Truth be told, if Springsteen could reward his fans with 7  count 'em  seven! 45s from his single-LP opus "Born In The U.S.A.", had he been of a similar mind in the days of "The River," he could have easily found 10 singles over those 4 LP sides. Instead, we got only two: This one and the inferior and, IMHO, undeserving "Fade Away." I've also had British imports for sale of "Sherry Darling" and "Cadillac Ranch," and I know more "River" 45s exist from various non-U.S. sources. Note: The picture sleeve is nearly flawless!
