MC5

Kick Out The Jams / The American Ruse

This somewhat mysterious reissue features both of this group's "hit" singles from 1968. (There must be some kind of MC5 revival going on, because this is the second reissue of "Kick Out The Jams" I've stocked in the last 2 months!) "Kick Out The Jams" was one of the most influential singles of its day, fully capturing the sense of anarchy that 1968's riots and assassinations produced. This reissue is pressed on red vinyl and has a blank white label and small spindle hole. The art cover says it's a limited edition of 100! (Wow, that's very limited indeed!)\r\n

Note: This single has the uncensored version of "Kick" from the group's LP, rather than the cleaned-up one that appeared on the original 45. (The uncensored version has lead singer Rob Tyner yelling "Kick out the jams, MotherF**kers!" rather than "Kick out the jams, Brothers and Sisters!")
