Originally released on Mercury 72764. This is a new-looking copy of Mercury's blue-label "Celebrity Series" reissue. "Lost" was the first record in the great series that Philadelphia producer/songwriters Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff began in 1968 with Jerry Butler. Butler was a star singer in the vanguard of their new, distinctive "Philly soul" sound, and both of the songs on this out-of-print reissue are classics of that sound. Note: The labels and vinyl (styrene) exhibit faint signs of storage wear, grading Near Mint, but the audio sounds pristine!
