More Today Than Yesterday/ Broken-Hearted Man

Here's a beautiful Mint copy of the promo release. Northern Soul? Yes, apparently a pioneer British DJ "had the nerve to play it", as Kev Roberts puts it, in a Northern Soul club, and it proceeded to be a smash Northern Soul hit. As did some of the group's followup records. And here, I've thought of it as a bubblegum hit all this time. :-) (As I've noted before, there is a definite connection between bubblegum and soul... this is one of the tracks that demonstrates it. "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the Foundations is another.) By the way, both of these tracks are slightly edited from longer (3:11, 3:02) album versions. Note: This promo 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl (styrene), Audio).
