This copy ain't much to look at, with writing and fading on the label and major scuffing on the vinyl, but it sounds great! I'll never forget reading about this classic obscurity in Dave Marsh's 'The Heart of Rock & Soul,' where he gave it the last entry in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made and wrote 3 pages about how wonderful it is to discover songs like this that only skimmed the surface of radio when they were originally released but that are like finding gold nuggets in a stream today.
