A terrific two-sided soul nugget from '69, this became Reid's only real penetration of the pop chart (his other charter peaked at #99) and his only Top 10 black hit. This despite the fact that he churned out more than a dozen great singles over the next few years. Oh well. Have a listen to the snippet of his one hit, which was actually intended as an "answer song" to the Isley Bros. hit single "It's Your Thing", and you'll see how much great funky soul there is to discover (and covet). :-) Note: This copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Group Records factory sleeve.
