On The Good Ship Lollipop/ Don't Take Your Love From Me

For those of you too young to remember, Tiny Tim was an outrageous novelty act who rode his impossibly high voice and tiny ukelele to fame after appearing on Rowan & Martin's hit TV show, Laugh-In. Hearing this one again today makes me wonder whether Tim must not have been a major influence on little Russell Mael, the lead singer of Sparks whose vocal style owes a great deal to Tim. Some have accused Sparks, of course, of fueling Queen... especially tracks like their wildly popular "Bohemian Rhapsody." Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Reprise Records factory sleeve. It has very nearly Mint labels, and the audio is a strong Near Mint, despite some light scuffing on the vinyl (styrene)
