Purple Haze/ 51st Anniversary

The A side of this 2014 reissue was originally released on Reprise 0597. It was the singer's first big hit from his classic Psychedelic Rock album Are You Experienced?. This reissue reprises the original Mono mix from the single. The B side makes this reissue even more compelling for Hendrix fans: The awesome "51st Anniversary" was never released on a Hendrix LP. To find a copy, you need to look on the B side of Hendrix's first U.S. single, "Hey Joe" (yeah, right... let me know when you find one of those!) or on the B side of the U.K. release of "Purple Haze." This reissue comes in a beautiful picture sleeve, and the 45 has a large spindle hole.
