Rag Doll/ Silence Is Golden

The Dave Marsh 1001 song at #166 is the flip (the original version of "Silence Is Golden", which became a hit in 1967 for The Tremeloes) rather than the A side, which itself shows up at #401 on that list! This rare vinyl pressing is on the original black Philips label. Note: This copy comes in a beautiful picture sleeve — the variety with a yellow background (the sleeve also came in green). The sleeve is Near Mint with no notable yellowing but with a little light staining at the top edge in two spots (not shown on the scan, which is a representative image from our archive). The record itself has Near Mint labels with wom tiny writing penciled on the A label. The vinyl looks almost Near Mint but has a little scuffing toward the outer edges. The audio is frustratingly close to Near Mint, as it has no distortion but does have some surface noise near the beginning.
