From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original Elektra/Asylum factory sleeve. This classic Jackson Browne single has his rewrite of the Maurice Williams tune, together with its "first half" from Browne's 5-star "live" album,
Running On Empty. Rosemary Butler and David Lindley do the honors on the chorus. This is the second issue of the single, which originally had "Rosie" on the B side. Elektra re-released it with "The Load-Out" as a result of consumer demand, as a lot of radio stations were playing the entire track beginning with that amazing tribute to the roadies who keep rock'n'roll shows working. Note: This beautiful 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
