Too Many Lovers

William Shack of Memphis may not have left much recorded work, but if you have room for only one of his 45s, grab this one! Not only are both sides guaranteed to please fans of Funky and Deep Soul, the A side left Shack's sole impression on the National Bilozoard singles charts. In the black market, the single got all the way to #23, so why did he make (as far as I can determine) only two singles? True, the followup to "Too Many Lovers" failed to chart, but this guy had a voice that should have been more widely heard. The flip is Hot Sauce doing "I'll Kill A Brick (About My Man). This copy coms in its original Stax Double Hitter factory sleeve
