(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock/ Thirteen Women (And Only One Man In Town)

This is the original 1955 release, on the black Decca label with silver print and a star under the label name. Originally released in 1954, with "Thirteen Women" as the A side, this is one of the singles that sparked the Rock'n'Roll revolution after "Rock Around The Clock" was featured in a popular movie and dee-jays began spinning that side. Of course, all 1955 and later releases should be treated as if "Rock" was the A side, since that's the side that Decca was plugging. The song was so influential that it was re-released several times in the years that followed, and it actually charted twice more: #118 in June 1968 and #39 in March 1974. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Decca Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and nearly untouched-looking vinyl. The audio unfortunately has light underlying surface noise, grading a strong EX.
