Without listening to this, you could be forgiven for thinking Julia might actually be a woman. But no, Julia was a Michigan band that was one of the early projects of the talented guitarist/songwriter Bill Mueller, better known as Blue Miller. On the Julia 45s, his lead guitar sounds very much like the stuff Joe Walsh was doing on his own and, earlier, as leader of the James Gang. All the tracks I've heard by this guy/group are amazing. Never a household name, Miller has nevertheless had an influential career in the music business, and this early single is testimony to the fact that he should be much better known than he is!
