American Flyer was an American folk-rock supergroup formed in 1976. The band consisted of notable musicians such as Eric Kaz, Steve Katz, Doug Yule, and Craig Fuller, each having previously achieved success in other groups like Blood, Sweat & Tears, Velvet Underground, and Pure Prairie League. Their musical style was marked by intricate harmonies and a soft rock sound that showcased their folk roots. Despite only releasing two albums, American Flyer's self-titled debut and "Spirit of a Woman", their brief existence played a significant role in the folk-rock genre of the mid-1970s.
