Apollo 100 was a British instrumental rock band, active during the early 1970s. The band was led by keyboardist Tom Parker, and its style was predominantly classical-rock fusion, taking inspiration from masterpieces of classical music and melding them into a contemporary rock sound. Their most successful and influential single was "Joy," a rock rendition of Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," which reached the Top 10 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1972. Despite their brief existence, Apollo 100's unique blend of styles contributed to the development of progressive and art rock.
