Blue Cheer

Blue Cheer was an American rock band, best known as one of the pioneers of heavy metal music. Formed in San Francisco in 1967, the band's original lineup included Dickie Peterson, Leigh Stephens, and Eric Albronda. They gained fame with their cover of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues," which showcased their signature high-decibel sound, heavily distorted guitars, and raw, powerful vocals. Their experimentation with heavy sound and psychedelic elements greatly contributed to the development of the heavy metal and stoner rock genres.
