The Blues Magoos were an American rock band, active between 1964 and 1972, and were part of the "psychedelic" movement of the 1960s. Known for their distinctive electric blues style, they incorporated elements of garage and psychedelic rock, which can be heard in their significant 1966 hit, "We Ain't Got Nothin' Yet". The band was comprised of notable members such as Peppy Castro, Ralph Scala, and Ronnie Gilbert. Despite their relatively brief existence, the Blues Magoos made a significant impact in pioneering the psychedelic rock genre.
