Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans

Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans were an early 1960s American R&B vocal group, known for their association with famed producer Phil Spector and his iconic Wall of Sound production style. The group consisted of Bobby Sheen (Bob B. Soxx), and backup singers Darlene Love and Fanita James, both from the girl group The Blossoms. Their hit "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" is a prime example of Spector's innovative approach to pop music production. Although their time together was brief, the group's influence can be seen in the later success of Spector's other acts and the continued popularity of "Wall of Sound" produced tracks.
