The Boogie Boys were an American hip hop group active during the mid-to-late 1980s. Comprised of members William "Boogie Knight" Stroman, Joe "Romeo J.D." Malloy, and Rudy "Lil' Rahiem" Sheriff, the group is best known for their hit single "A Fly Girl." Their musical style, characterized by heavy use of drum machines and synthesizers, was influential in the burgeoning New York hip hop scene. Despite their relatively short career, the Boogie Boys made significant contributions to the development of old school hip hop.
