Boz Scaggs, born William Royce Scaggs, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his blend of rock, blues, and R&B. He gained fame as a member of the Steve Miller Band in the late 1960s before embarking on a successful solo career. His distinctive voice and guitar work can be heard on hits such as "Lido Shuffle" and "Lowdown," the latter of which won a Grammy Award. Scaggs' music has been influential in shaping the blue-eyed soul subgenre and his 1976 album, "Silk Degrees," is considered a landmark in that style.
