Burton Cummings is a Canadian musician and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist for the rock band The Guess Who. His distinctive voice, tinged with blues and jazz influences, was a defining element of the band's hits, including "American Woman" and "These Eyes". After leaving The Guess Who in 1975, Cummings pursued a successful solo career, incorporating more pop elements into his music. His contributions to the music industry have been recognized with multiple Juno Awards and his induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
