Club Nouveau

Club Nouveau is an American R&B band that emerged in the mid-1980s. Formed by producer Jay King in Sacramento, California, the group is known for its fusion of soul, dance, and pop music. Club Nouveau's most influential work, a cover of Bill Withers' "Lean on Me," won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song in 1987. Their distinct sound, marked by synthesized beats and harmonious vocals, has played a significant role in shaping the New Jack Swing era.
