D.A. Hunt

D.A. Hunt, born Dewey Groom in 1925, was a relatively obscure American blues singer and musician whose work has gained recognition for its contribution to the Memphis blues scene. His musical style, characterized by raw vocal delivery and the use of slide guitar, is a representation of Southern American blues tradition. Despite a limited discography, his single "Greyhound Blues" released on the Sun Records label in the early 1950s, is considered significant in blues history. Hunt's music, though not widely known in its time, has been influential in defining the unique sound of Memphis blues.
