Danny and the Juniors were an American doo-wop and rock and roll group formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1955. Their musical style is notably characterized by harmonious vocal arrangements typical of the doo-wop genre. Best known for their hit "At the Hop", which topped Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1958, the group significantly contributed to the popularization of rock and roll in the late 1950s. Members included Danny Rapp, Dave White, Frank Maffei and Joe Terranova, with Rapp's distinctive lead vocals playing a key role in their signature sound.
