Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) was a prominent English progressive rock group formed in 1970. The band was composed of keyboardist Keith Emerson, bassist/vocalist Greg Lake, and drummer/percussionist Carl Palmer. They were notable for their fusion of classical and rock themes, complex compositions, and elaborate live shows.
