Ernest Tubb

Ernest Tubb, also known as the "Texas Troubadour," was a pioneering figure in country music, active from the 1930s through the 1980s. His distinctive, deeply twangy singing voice, combined with his honky-tonk style, greatly influenced the development of the genre. Tubb was one of the first artists to incorporate electric guitars into country music, a move that further popularized the genre. Among his most influential works was the 1941 hit "Walking the Floor Over You," which helped establish the template for modern country music.
