Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin

Eurythmics, a British synth-pop duo, is composed of members Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, known for their innovative use of synthesizers and Lennox's powerful, soulful vocals. They rose to prominence in the 1980s with hits like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again". Aretha Franklin, an American singer, is often referred to as the "Queen of Soul" and is acclaimed for her emotive, powerful vocals and her influence on the development of R&B and soul music. In 1985, Eurythmics and Franklin collaborated on the track "Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves", showcasing a fusion of synth-pop and gospel-infused soul. This collaboration is celebrated as a feminist anthem and a landmark in pop and soul music history.
