The Fat Boys were an American hip hop trio from Brooklyn, New York City, prominent in the 1980s. Composed of Mark "Prince Markie Dee" Morales, Damon "Kool Rock-Ski" Wimbley, and Darren "Buff Love" Robinson, they were known for their humorous, self-deprecating lyrics and beatboxing skills. They were one of the first rap groups to release full-length albums and receive substantial radio airplay, contributing significantly to the mainstream acceptance of hip hop. Their influential works include their debut album "Fat Boys" (1984) and the hit single "Wipeout" (1987).
