Figures On A Beach was an American new wave band that formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1981. The group, comprised of notable members Anthony Kaczynski and Michael Smith, is best known for their synth-pop and post-punk style, characterized by layered synthesizers, guitar riffs, and Kaczynski's distinctive vocals. They gained prominence in the 1980s with their influential album "Standing on Ceremony" and the popular single "No Stars". Despite their dissolution in 1991, Figures On A Beach left a significant mark on the new wave genre and the 80s music scene.
