Five Stairsteps & Cubie were an American soul and R&B group from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, best known for their hit single "O-o-h Child." The band consisted of five siblings from the Burke family, with the youngest, Cubie, added later to create the "& Cubie" variant of the band's name. Their harmonious vocal style, combined with soulful rhythms, made them a significant act during the era of soul music. They are often referred to as "The First Family of Soul," a testament to their influence in paving the way for other family-based groups in the genre.
