Frankie Lymon

Frankie Lymon was an influential American rock and roll/rhythm and blues singer and songwriter in the mid-1950s. Known for his high, boyish soprano voice, Lymon was best recognized as the lead singer of the New York-based group Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers. Their hit song, "Why Do Fools Fall in Love," remains a seminal doo-wop piece, showcasing Lymon's distinctive vocal style. Despite his short-lived career due to substance abuse and his untimely death, Lymon's impact on the early development of rock and roll music was significant.
