Garnett Mimms

Garnett Mimms is an American singer, best known for his work as a lead vocalist of the group Garnett Mimms and The Enchanters. His musical style, rooted in gospel and soul, gained prominence in the 1960s with the hit song "Cry Baby," later covered by Janis Joplin. Mimms' emotive and powerful vocal delivery had a significant influence on the development of soul and R&B music. Despite a relatively brief recording career, his work remains an important part of the soul music canon.
