Grapefruit was a British rock band from the late 1960s, primarily known for their psychedelic pop sound. The group was formed by brothers John and Geoff Swettenham, and also featured Pete Swettenham and George Alexander, the latter being a songwriter for the Beatles' Apple publishing company. Their work is characterized by harmonic vocal arrangements and catchy, Beatlesque melodies, with their most recognized song being "Dear Delilah". Despite their limited commercial success, Grapefruit's role in the British psychedelic scene and their connection with the Beatles mark them as a significant footnote in music history.
