Haysi Fantayzee was a British new wave band that emerged in the early 1980s. The group was comprised of vocalists Jeremy Healy (also known as Jeremiah) and Kate Garner, along with guitarist/producer Paul Caplin. Their unconventional style combined elements of pop, reggae, and folk with a distinctive punk aesthetic, and their flamboyant, eccentric image was a significant part of their appeal. The band is best known for their hit single "John Wayne is Big Leggy," which reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart in 1982. Despite their brief existence, Haysi Fantayzee made a memorable impact on the new wave scene.
