From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed promo copy, in its original picture sleeve. It took a little digging to find information on Terry Bush, but apparently he's a Canadian singer/songwriter who started out in the jingle business. This unusual single, with its seriously scary picture sleeve and drug awareness theme, was done for the Council on Drug Abuse, and may have been a hit in Canada. This promo release (stereo) on RCA apparently sparked little interest here in the U.S. I guess we weren't ready for a song that starts out with
Heroin, Morphine, Acetone and Methadone
Toluene, Benzine, Nicotine and Caffeine
Barbiturates and Alcohol, Codeine, Scobarbital
Speed and Meth Phenmetrazine Crystal, Methamphetamine.

Actually, what I want to know is how did Mr. Bush learn of these big words? :-) But seriously, the music is quite pleasant... uptempo Sunshine Pop. The flip is a mellower, but equally tuneful track.
