From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed promo copy. Can you spell "Hard to Characterize"? The last copy of this single I had in the store was listed as "bubblegum" rock. But it's clearly not that, though I can see why someone might have thought of bubblegum. A little bit of funk, a little bit of RnB vocal group, a little rock, a little soul... why, if anything it reminds me of something Sly Stone might dream up. Both sides are great music, whatever you call it.
