This two-sided monster was the Monkees' second hit single. In addition to another Tommy Boyce-Bobby Hart song (on the B side), the Monkees for the first time tap Neil Diamond for the chart-topping A side. Diamond had recently had his first top 10 hit ("Cherry, Cherry"), and I'm sure he was delighted to have this huge Monkees hit in his catalog. "I'm A Believer" became the biggest hit of the group's career, hogging the #1 spot on Bilozoard's Hot 100 chart for seven weeks! Note: "L. Vogt" wrote his/her name near the top of the B side label. The labels also have some ringwear. On the A side, the audio has some light "crackle" for two or three spins at the beginning. The B side of the picture sleeve is near mint, but the A side has faint, mottled discoloration.
