In Your Shoes/ Forty Winks Away

This promo must be one of the only singles by Dick Rivers ever to reach the U.S. shores... I had trouble finding references to him on the web, and only one small entry in my primary 45 discography. Turns out that Rivers was an apparently very popular singer in France starting in the early 1960's and continuing through the 1980's. "In Your Shoes" sounds a bit like something Gene Pitney or Roy Orbison might have recorded in their lighter moods. The flip is also quite nice.
