James Dean

Stereo/Mono promo copy. Here's an Eagles single you don't see very often — in fact, this is only the third original copy I've had since opening the store in 2001! This 45 followed "Already Gone," which featured newcomer Joe Walsh as the latest guitarist member of the group, and "James Dean" rocks just as hard, if not harder, than that prior hit. Still, it found no listeners in 1974. Not to worry, though... The group's next single, "Best of My Love," released in November 1974, started them on a string of Top 10 U.S. hits that went unbroken until 1977, when "Life In The Fast Lane" stalled at #11. Note: This beautiful promo 45 record looks new and unplayed, with a small "9-74" inked on the Stereo side. The audio is pristine Mint. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
