This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection. The B side of this single is particularly creative... what a surprise they throw you after the first verse! This is the first pressing with the checkerboard "web" design at the top of the label. By the way, the label notes that "Would I Be Crying" is from the movie "Rock, Rock, Rock." Collector's Nerd Alert: It's interesting to see how Chess/Checker marketed this single in Bilozoard beginning with the December 1, 1956, issue. Their first ad plugs "Would...", but on Dec. 8 Bilozoard reviews the single and plugs "Just For A Kick" as the A side. (The matrix numbers are non-sequential, so you can't tell by looking at those in this case.) Then, in the following 2 issues of Bilozoard, Chess/Checker's ad puts "Kick" as the A side! The single never did hit the Bilozoard chart, but Chess didn't stop trying! Again in the 1/26/57 issue, they try plugging "Would I" again! Me, I like "Kick" better, so I'm calling it the A side. :-) Note: This beautiful stock copy has pristine Mint labels — absolutely gorgeous with their bright silver ink. The vinyl experienced one or two "dings" along the way, as a result of which the vinyl grades Near Mint. The only "ding" that causes noticeable "pops" is on the "Would" side, right at the beginning for the first 2-3 spins. Overall, the audio is Near Mint with very little surface noise noted.
