This terrific single is more evidence for the belief (which I share) that 1970s Soul is a vast untapped reservoir of wonderful music that remains largely undiscovered. Who would expect music like this from Lloyd Price, he of late 1950s-early 1960s standards like "Stagger Lee" and "Personality"? And yet here it is — two amazing uptempo dancers in the Philly Soul style that dominated the 1970s. I'm so impressed with the B side that I'm sticking a snippet in the jukebox... have a listen! The A side was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound, Ala. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage GSF Records factory sleeve. The B side label has a couple of stray marks (too light to show up well in the scan), but the A side is pristine. The audio is very close to Mint.
