Here's a beautiful promo copy of one of Ray Charles' most iconic tunes. Not to diminish Ray Charles' impact on this song's legendary status, but certainly those background-singing Raelettes (spelled "Raylettes" on the label) had a special role here. In fact, the most memorable part is when Margie Hendrix starts letting loose with her strong, soulful voice in counterpoint to Ray. You gotta love it! By the way, this big hit was a non-album single whose sides only appear on later compilation albums. Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint in both appearance (Labels, Vinyl) and audio.
